For all new bookings made between May 15, 2020 – January 31, 2021, we have a pandemic-related ‘less strict’ Temporary Moderate Cancellation (=TMC) Policy in place as detailed below. Please know that
(a) this TMC Policy overrules our standard Refund or Return Policy published under SECTION B sub 1 of our Terms & Conditions;
(b) this TMC Policy is paired with a Soft Payment Schedule (see below); and
(c) the above validity period of this TMC Policy may be extended depending on the effects that the COVID-19 pandemic continues to have on global leisure travel.
TEMPORARY MODERATE CANCELLATION (=TMC) POLICY
BOOK RISK-FREE: No payments on bookings that are made under the TMC policy are ever fully forfeited if the guest needs to cancel such booking.
TMC Policy specification: For all new bookings made between May 15, 2020 – January 31, 2021, upon later cancellation of such booking by Guest and depending on at which point in time the cancellation request is received, PRESTIGE will issue a cash refund to Guest (except for the amount of a used rebate voucher; see note (*) below). This refund amount is calculated as:
All paid sums on the booking, less a Cancellation Fee equal to
- 0% of the Total Amount of the booking, if canceled earlier than 30 days before arrival date (= meaning, Guest receives a cash refund of all paid amounts, no questions asked).
- 50% of the Total Amount of the booking, if cancelled between 30 and 15 days before arrival date; and our Rebate Policy applies (= meaning, Guest receives a cash refund for any overpaid amount beyond this 50% cancellation fee AND a credit value on this 50% cancellation fee in accordance with our Rebate Policy for pandemic-related cancellations).
- 100% of the Total Amount of the booking, if cancelled within 15 days before arrival date; and our Rebate Policy applies (= meaning, Guest receives a credit value on this 100% cancellation fee in accordance with our Rebate Policy for pandemic-related cancellations).
SOFT PAYMENT SCHEDULE
Further, following the above TMC Policy, for all new bookings made between May 15, 2020 – January 31, 2021, we offer a Soft Payment Schedule starting with only a 20% deposit; 30 days prior to your arrival another payment of 30%; and 15 days prior to your arrival the final payment of 50%.
(*) NOTE: REBATE VOUCHERS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE
If Guest used a non-refundable rebate voucher as a (partial) payment on a cancelled booking that was made under the above TMC Policy, for any ‘cash refundable’ amount upon cancellation as defined above Guest will instead first receive a new rebate voucher of which the value will be the same as that of the rebate voucher used on the cancelled booking. For the remaining refundable amount, if any, Guest will receive a cash refund.
