Spectacular Aruba Penthouse

Most of us (6 in the group) had never experienced a vacation rental property - we were accustomed to hotels/resorts - so we were excited to see what we signed up for - we were not disappointed. We opened the front door and after taking 5 steps, all we saw was the crustal blue water of Eagle Beach. This penthouse is spectacular...the rooftop was perfect for coffee in the morning and a nightcap in the evening. Aside form the 3 pools, the adjacent beach is a 3 minute walk and is not crowded at all. The staff was very friendly and the management team was more than accommodating from the moment I made the reservation to the last text I received on the way out the door. My only concern is that on future vacations, we will never be able to top this place!! - (Aug 2023 - VRBO)

Basically I want to purchase this property. I think that should say enough.. However for the sake of this review, the entire staff at the condo was amazing, from the gate staff to Josh who checked us in. We're moving to a resort now and sad that we didn't stay at the condo longer! The view was amazing, the beds were very comfortable, and the location to the beach was incredible.. We spent 9 nights in this wonderful condo! We really enjoyed ourselves and can't wait to stay here again in the future. The location is ideal, located right on Eagle Beach. The beach is beautiful! The condo itself was perfect for us (4 adults and 2 children). There was more than enough room for all of us. There was even a twin sized air mattress that my teenager used so he wouldn't have to sleep with his brother, lol. The living space is very comfortable and roomy for everyone. We enjoyed the rooftop patio very much. We spent most of our evenings on this patio overlooking the ocean and watching the beautiful sunsets! The rooftop grill was amazing and we cooked many of our meals there. We only experienced a couple of minor issues during our stay. The microwave did not work the first day. We called to let them know and someone came up that afternoon to look at it and it was working the next day. The fan in one of the bedrooms wobbled a lot when on the higher speeds. We did let them know but it was not fixed during our stay. We were able to use it on the low speed. We could not get the fan in the living room to work at all. When we lowered the blinds in the upper living area we noticed a large spill stain on the blinds and on the side of the couch from a previous guest. In the upstairs shower, we noticed a large piece of hair when my son went to shower. These areas should have been noticed and cleaned prior to our arrival. The beach chairs are all very well used. We appreciated having the chairs for the beach but they should be replaced at some point in the near future. These were all minor issues for us and we truly loved staying at this condo and would definitely stay here again in the future. We would highly recommend staying here and we had a great family vacation!!

Perfection

This was the perfect spot for our family of 6 (children in their 20s). Plenty of room to hang out together yet also have privacy and somewhere to work when needed. They have everything you need from a well equipped kitchen to beach chairs, cooler and beach towels. We did not want a busy hotel setting but felt we had all the amenities close by. Beach bars and restaurants an easy walk in either direction, staff was super responsive and helpful in arranging transportation, the apartment itself is beautiful, kids used the gym, beach right across the street. gorgeous sunsets from the terrace. Great resort

Very nice and clean, well furnished/equipped condo with spectacular rooftop area. Due to COVID we were literally the only people at the pool. Comfortable beds. Very responsive condo staff for everything we needed. Airport taxi transfer was excellent. Christmas Vacation

We got lucky and were able to get this property 4 days before we arrived after AirBnB cancelled the reservation that we had been holding for 5 months. Somehow we got caught in a dispute between their property manager and AirBnB and Prestige was able to come to the rescue with a great penthouse 3BR condo. 
 
Pros: 
Plenty of space 
Property safe 
Good pool facilities 
Not overcrowded (able to get chairs around the pool and space on the beach (Eagle Beach) across the street) 
Clean 
Good maintenance response (hot tub pump was broken when we arrived - they had it repaired within 2 days over the New Year holiday) 
Beach gear available for use in the condo (chairs, colors, balls, ice maker) 
No need to get up early to grab space on the beach 
Much more cost effective than housing on Palm Beach 
 
Cons: 
No food service on site or on the beach - carry everything you need across the street to the beach 
Umbrella's need to be rented 
Not much easy access to food without a taxi or rental car 
Not much happening around the location 
 
Overall a great experience. Eagle beach is less traveled than the hotel and resort area of Palm Beach. Because of that it is easier to get space and relax, but the trade-off is it is a do-it-yourself beach. Don't expect to be served cocktails and food on the beach. If you are looking to go out for an evening expect to drive or take a taxi. We walked the beach on a few nights to get to restaurants about 1/2 mile away. While it is deemed safe our family was walking without anyone around at 9pm in the dark and I wasn't entirely comfortable with it. I was surprised there were not more people walking the beach at night that I have seen in other island areas. 
 
We have a family of 6 and Aruba has a law limiting the number of passengers in a taxi to 5. Many drivers are willing to take 6, but it is always a hassle finding them and just adds more of a headache when trying to travel. With a larger group I would recommend getting a rental car so you don't have to deal with it. 
 
Was windy (10-20mph) throughout the entire stay, but it did not affect the enjoyment of the location. Sunshine and warmth throughout. 
 
If you want to stay on Eagle Beach I would recommend this location. - (Jan 2020 - Prestige)
